Armon Brown's Portfolio Project
During the CareerFoundry UI Design Program, you’ll build out a job-ready portfolio. Here is a breakdown of graduate Armon’s portfolio project, Bank Roll, a money-saving website and mobile app.
What inspired you to make a career change into this field?
I have an educational background in film production and freelance experience in photography, so I wanted to do something creative. I have experience in the supply chain industry where I mostly help resolve customers issues relating to deliveries and services offered by the company while ensuring that deliveries are completed at the intended time and other supply chain problems. This experience in solving real problems for people built the foundation for the core empathy needed as a UX/UI designer.
What did you enjoy most about the CareerFoundry UI Design Program?
My favorite thing was that it is self-paced meaning I could study when I wanted, at a time that suited my work schedule and best fit around my life.
What did you enjoy about creating your CareerFoundry portfolio project?
I enjoyed seeing all aspects of the project coming together at the end. I’m very proud of the final result!
With regards to your new career and skills, what are your hopes for the future?
I hope to get into the tech industry as a product designer and move on to a product manager role at some point in my career.
