Kyle Williams's Intro to Product Management Portfolio Project

During the CareerFoundry Intro to Product Management Course, you’ll build out a job-ready project for your portfolio. Here is a part of Kyle’s project: a presentation to executives about product improvements for a travel and location app called MakeYourMaps.

In Kyle’s presentation, he shares product improvement suggestions, KPIs to measure success, user personas, low-fidelity wireframes, and a project launch timeline. Introducing his project and talking about his experience studying with CareerFoundry, here’s what Kyle had to share:

What inspired you to make a career change into this field?

I have been interested in working in the tech industry for a few years now and so I wanted to develop skills to make a transition more feasible.  

What did you enjoy most about the CareerFoundry Intro to Product Management Course?

I enjoyed the way the course was structured and the feedback I received from my mentor and tutor.

What did you enjoy about creating your CareerFoundry portfolio project?

Broadening my horizons! It was great to learn new skills and actually put those into practice in order to produce a final project for my portfolio.

With regards to your new career and skills, what are your hopes for the future?

I’m now taking the Product Management immersion course with CareerFoundry and I hope to join the tech industry as a product manager after graduation!
