Jamal pointed out that one of the best things about digital marketing is its breadth of opportunities. Whether you\u2019re interested in SEO, social media, paid ads, content marketing, or strategy, there\u2019s a niche for you.<\/p>\n

Another key insight Jamal shared was the difference between generalists and specialists in marketing. Some professionals go deep into areas like SEO or paid advertising, while others\u2014especially those in leadership positions\u2014become strong generalists who can advise across multiple areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs an entrepreneur, I need to have awareness of every single bit of marketing,\u201d Jamal said. \u201cI can\u2019t neglect areas like SEO, even if I outsource parts of it. Having that basic knowledge means I can make better decisions, avoid wasting money on overlapping tools, and not get taken advantage of.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is an important lesson: you don\u2019t need to do everything yourself, but a foundational understanding of each area gives you confidence and control.<\/p>\n

Learning by Doing<\/h3>\n

Jamal admitted that in the past, his approach to ads and campaigns was sometimes rushed. \u201cI\u2019d throw together a Facebook ad a few days before an event without proper planning\u2014and of course, the results weren\u2019t great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Through the program, he\u2019s learning to approach performance marketing in a structured, data-driven way. Instead of last-minute campaigns, he now sees the value of long-term planning and testing\u2014skills that are critical for professional marketers.<\/p>\n
