The course is designed for UX designers looking to sharpen their skills in UI design. For complete beginners looking to explore a career in UI design, we recommend taking a look at our UI Design Program instead.
You’ll be paired with an expert mentor who'll stay with you throughout the course. You’ll mainly be communicating online, with up to 3 mentor calls available during the 8-week period.
To enroll in the course, you can use any Mac or PC computer. Windows devices are suitable; however, we recommend using either a MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro; as both are industry-standard devices for designers.
During the course, we recommend using Sketch if you have a Mac, and Adobe CC if you have a PC. For prototyping, you’ll be using InVision. Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, we encourage you to explore the many different tools available for designers, and find the one which work best for you.
We offer a range of different perks, including free trials and discounts. You'll get a 9-month free subscription to InVision, plus a 50% discount for Sketch. You can learn more about our perks here.
The course is 120 hours long. In order to keep a steady pace, we recommend comitting to approximately 15 hours per week of study over 8 weeks.
The ZFU, or Staatliche Zentralstelle für Fernunterricht, is the state body for distance learning in Germany. To be able to offer our UI for UX Designers Course publicly, it underwent a rigorous quality assurance and certification process. On successful completion of this process, the course was assigned a unique approval number (7349719) which can be checked against a public register.
